Comox Aquatic Centre Sound System upgrade – Summer 2021

We upgraded the sound system at the Comox Aquatic Centre in the summer of 2021. The existing system was another sound system that had succumbed to the ravages of 24/7 chlorine exposure, and the staff had been using a portable speaker for aquacise classes as the in-house system had failed.

We installed a complete new sound system, consisting of a QSC Core 110f digital signal processor, along with a 5.5” rack mounted touch screen, and a wall mounted iPad for complete sound system control of the entire sound system.

We installed a new Tascam CD-200BT CD player with built in long range Bluetooth receiver, for easy wireless connection of any Bluetooth equipped device to the sound system. A new dual headset Evo wireless mic  allows staff to conduct Aquacise classes anywhere on the pool deck.

A new QSC MP-A40V 4 channel power amplifier provides 200 watts per speaker zone, and six new Community R.35 speakers provide quality sound throughout the natatorium, split into 2 lap pool zones and one leisure pool/hot tub zone.

An easy to use main touch screen allows full control over the  pool and change rooms sound system.
