Creston & District Community Complex – Creston Room September 2016

Avery Service 300In July 2016, the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary tasked us with upgrading the sound system in their recreation complex’s 4,000 square foot meeting/activity room. The system was installed in 2008 with a very limited and underpowered system – there was only one microphone jack and 12 undersized speakers for the entire space.

Sound Solutions installed a total of 40 Factor CT-660 speakers, and installed a new four-channel TOA DA-250 amplifier to provide more power to the new speakers. A total of 36 speakers were installed into the Creston Room, and four additional speakers were installed in the pre-function area outside of the Creston Room. Individual volume controls control each of the three room sections as well as the pre-function area to set levels as required.

We also installed three Factor RVC PRO microphone/music plates into the Creston room so that three microphones and music sources could be used at the same time without having to bring in additional mixers. We love these lockable plates and use them every chance we get! A Bluetooth receiver was also installed so that a smartphone or other Bluetooth music source could be connected wirelessly to the sound system.

The installation took three days to complete, and it didn’t take long for the customer to note a significant improvement in the sound quality.
